We hope that your trip to Israel is just the beginning of a journey of exploring your connection to Israel and the Jewish people. Your Birthright San Diego experience does not end at the end of the trip. After you come back from your Birthright trip, our goal is to provide you with a way to continue your experience back home. Staffing a Taglit-Birthright Israel trip is both a privilege and a responsibility. As a member of our staff team, you will have a once in a life time opportunity to have an incredibly powerful impact for our participants and for yourself as well. While staffing a trip should definitely be an exciting experience, our North American staff leaders are counted on for the following roles:

  • Manage the airport departure and in-flight
  • Support the Israeli trip guide in all aspects of the trip
  • Ensure smooth running of the group: logistically, socially, and experientially
  • Serve as a role model for participants throughout the program
  • Assist in leading educational discussion groups and informal programming

Finally, although the position is unpaid, all expenses are covered on the program, and in most cases, staff members are able to extend their tickets. Please contact us if you are interested in staffing a trip.
